TELTEK is a start-up company born at the University of Vigo (UVigo). TELTEK is focused on providing open source IT-Media solutions for Academia.
As the developers and engineers working in TELTEK have been part of the team dedicated to the Opencast Matterhorn project on UVigo's behalf, one of TELTEK’s main goals will be the provision of Opencast Matterhorn solutions.
TELTEK's areas of expertise include infrastructure management (campus-wide networks, server management, storage systems, web services, etc.), operations (automated video processing and publishing, video cataloging systems, etc.) and media production (live and studio recordings, audiovisual edition, etc.), thus covering the whole stack from the IT support to the media content production itself.
The company already offers several Matterhorn-related products, the most important being Galicaster (www.galicaster.org) a recording agent fully compatible with MH, with a series of additional features.
Apart from providing professional services related to Matterhorn, TELTEK can also develop a complete multimedia infrastructure tailored to the most specific needs of any educational institution.
